Cooks Garden Centre have been a regular exhibitor at the countries leading flower shows since 1986 , with an appearance at the very first Malvern Spring Gardens Show that year and going on to feature at the very first BBC NEC Gardeners World Live, RHS Tatton Park and RHS Cardiff shows.
Along with visits to Chelsea Flower Show and Hampton Court Palace Flower Show, we also maintain and continue to trade at our Garden Centre, carefully managing the busy schedule to ensure high quality displays of plants are achieved both at Home and whilst touring the UK's flower shows. Over the past 30 years we have achieved countless Gold Medals with 2017 being our best year!
At first Hanging Baskets and Patio Plants were our area of expertise at the shows and we are still proud to boast we are one of only two nurseries to have won RHS Gold Medals for Hanging Baskets! However, as the popularity of the Patio Plants increased beyond the Hanging Basket we turned to research and develop this part of the market instead, keeping Hanging Baskets at home with our Local Customers. As the years have gone by we have developed relationships with various European growers of new and exciting Hydrangeas, not your normal 1970s Mophead! Instead, an exclusive range of modern and exciting Hydrangeas developed to be more compact, perfect for pots and containers.
2018 was our best show season yet, not only did we achieve our first ever Chelsea Flower Show Gold Medal we our nursery was also featured on BBC Hampton Court. We've had a great season and looking forward to see what 2019 brings!
2017 saw four RHS Gold Medals achieved for our display of Hydrangeas and an interview with Carol Klein on BBC Gardeners World. We strive to introduce more and more new varieties every year, those you will not see at your Local Garden Centre as well as continue to sell our best seller Hydrangea Fireworks. If you attend any of the countries top flower shows be sure to keep a look out for the Cook's Show Team who are always there to help and give advice.
